Well here I am. :) I've been having so much fun exploring Pinterest. Most things that I've found on there are super easy to do at home. I've tried several different things with great success. From recipes to craft ideas, such as sewing or holiday activities. I've had such a good response with my postings on Facebook that I thought, wouldn't it be great to have one place with all the things I've made easily accessible for all to see?
I'm going to jump right in. I recently made homemade shower Vicks bars. You'll need Baking Soda, water, Lavender, Eucalyptus, Rosemary oils, mini muffin tin and pan liners. I mixed 1 c BS with 1/3 c water. It will become a think paste. Place in liners and bake at 350 for 20 min. Once out, drop oils on top of bar. About 15 of each oil. I then peeled the liners off (they didn't come off so easily) and place them in a Ziploc.

These turned out different than I had originally thought. They are crumbly. I can't really smell them once in the shower. They do last through more than one shower. Without thinking, I filled up a bath for my son with the crumples left from the shower. He could smell the oils. Later the Lavender even made him sleepy. I may make them in the future and alter them a bit.
